Close Shootout Loss to Kodiaks During Friday’s ProAll Night

The Grizzlys played a tight game against the Camrose Kodiaks this past Friday. Unfortunately, the team fell 4:3 after shootout in an extremely close game. Greenwood, Bromhead, and Guenter scored for the Grizzlys, while Visscher put up 31 saves to put the Grizz to a Shootout.

Off the ice, there was just as much going on as on the ice. Gameday sponsor ProAll International, celebrating 50 years (and counting) of Reimer Mixers, came out and provided great entertainment during the first intermission. Battling for $150 for charity, two teams were trying to get an oversized beachball to the opposing end to score. This mini-game ended in a 0:0 tie and a big win for the charities as both received the $150. Check out our Facebook page for more impressions.

This same evening, the Olds Grizzlys also participated in a successful EKEC speaker series event (in association with the Hockey Alberta Fundation, Olds Minor Hockey, and the Olds College Broncos) which saw Brian Burke and Craig MacTavish come to Olds. MacTavish joined the Grizzlys at the game following the event for a meet-and-greet with some fans, and of course Grizzwald.

The Grizzlys would like to thank all involving parties for making this night a great success!
