Grizz bring home 2 points from Calgary

The Grizzlys won on the road Tuesday, beating the Calgary Mustangs 2-1 to claim 4th place in the very tight South Division. Ethan Jemieff didn’t miss a beat after missing a couple of games due to injury. He stood tall, stopping 39 of 40 shots for the win in net and road team star of the game honours. Spencer Dorowicz is lighting it up offensively averaging one and half points per game. Our hometown Captain scored the winner in the third and assisted on Nikolas Kobersteins’ powerplay goal in the first.
The Grizz are next in action Friday in Canmore. The offence will be looking for more of the same after scoring 8 times during a big road win against the Eagles just over a week ago.
Your next chance to cheer the boys on home ice will be Tuesday, October 8th when the Grizzlys host division rivals the Calgary Mustangs. The puck drops at 7:30. Junior hockey fans already have the date marked on their calendar, as the number one ranked team in Canada the Fort McMurray Oil Barons are here Saturday, October 12th.
