Ty Mappin scored the winning goal in the shootout last Friday night as the Grizz defeated the Drumheller Dragons 4 – 3. Olds overcame a 3 – 1 defiect to steal a big two points in the south division. Saturday saw the defending AJHL champs Spruce Grove Saints visit the sportsplex and come away with a 4 – 0 victory. The Grizz out shot the Saints 34 – 28 and carried the play through much of the game but were unable to get on past Tanner McCorriston in the Spruce Grove net.
