It was a successful week for the Olds Grizzlys, the boys beat Camrose on Wednesday, lost to Canmore on Friday & beat Drumheller on Saturday.
The Grizz improved their record to 3-1 against the rival Camrose Kodiaks on Wednesday night at the Sportsplex. Spencer Dorowicz scored the game-winner on the powerplay with only 2:14 left in the 3rd period. The game was a fast paced, back and forth affair in front of 250 brave fans that came to the 'plex despite the -40 degree weather. Kyle Star also added a goal and an assist in the victory.
Jordan Revie scored two goals in 2:32 in the 2nd period for the Canmore Eagles on Friday evening to defeat the Grizz 4-1. A lackluster effort in the 1st & 2nd period from the Grizz proved to be fatal as the Eagles gained a big two points. Austin Kernahan scored the Grizzlys only goal at 10:24 of the 1st period.
Christopher Gerrie scored with only 0:01 left in the 3rd period to tie the game on Saturday night in Drumheller and Taylor Bilyk scored the overtime winner as the Grizz earned a huge two points defeating the Dragons 4-3. Spencer Dorowicz and Kyle Star both had two point nights in the win.
