Grizzlys announce roster moves to finish the 2021 Hockey season

OLDS GRIZZLYS 2021 ROSTER Update

The 2021 Olds Grizzlys roster is now set for the upcoming cohort games being played March to May 2021.   The roster can be seen on our website at   www.oldsgrizzlys.com .

Changes to the roster are as follows:

Leaving the Grizzlys

Captain Josh McNeil – Josh has been the longest serving Grizzly in the Friends of the Grizzlys Ownership era.   Josh has decided to retire and move into other interests which includes employment opportunity and School.   Josh was the ultimate professional, leader and team first guy.   Josh battled through some tough years in Olds and was always proud every time he put the Grizzlys Jersey on.   Josh will be missed not only on the ice, in the dressing room but in the community of Olds as he represented the Grizzlys at many community events.   We wish Josh all the best in his future and he will always be welcome back to the Sportsplex as a Grizzlys Alumni.

Brendan Rude ““ Ruder as he is known in the Dressing room and in the community has decided to retire.   But even in retirement, Ruder can still be seen at the arena helping Scott Atkinson with the skill development sessions run by the Grizzlys. Ruder was the ultimate warrior and teammate who will be missed on the ice, in Dressing room and all his work in the community while representing the Grizzlys.   Now a new member of the Grizzly Alumni, we wish Ruder all the best in his future.

Payton MacDonald-Corea ““ Payton has left the team for personal reasons for the rest of this season.   Payton is expected to be back with the team for training camp in late August.
