Grizzlys earn point in Grande Prairie

The Grizz spent the weekend on the bus up north bringing home a point after stops in Grande Prairie and Whitecourt. On Friday, Austin Kernahan scored his 4th and Chayden Lauber netted his first to send the game to extra time.  Olds earned a point losing a 3-2 shootout to the Storm. Ethan Jemieff stopped 32 of 24 Grande Prairie shots.
Olds took an early 2 goal lead on Saturday in Whitecourt, but the Wolverines scored the next three, including a pair of the powerplay as the Grizz dropped a 3-2 decision to wrap their 2 game weekend. Taylor Bilyk and Christopher Gerrie scored. Cale Brown had 2 assists. Jake Tamagi made 21 saves in net, with Olds leading the shot totals 32-24.
Olds is back at home on Tuesday October 22nd. Dress up like the “undead” for the Grizzlys Zombie Stomp game versus Drayton Valley. We are going to have fun games and prizes that everyone will enjoy. There is more action Saturday with the Calgary Canucks in town.
