With the 2024-25 season just around the corner, the Olds Grizzlys made some moves to acquire
some experience.
Coming to Olds is forward Will Robinson – 2004 born RW/C who was acquired from the Hearst
Lumberjacks of the NOJHL for future considerations. The 20 year old Toronto product
accumulated 9 points through 24 contests (5G, 4A) last season.
Another forward, Bailey Shortall was acquired from the Truro Bearcats of the MJAHL for futures.
The Nova Scotia born 18 year old gathered 23 points in 34 games last season with the West
Kent Steamers.
The Grizzlys shored up the crease by getting 2004 born goaltender Ashton Sadauskas, who
was acquired from the Kam River Fighting Walleye of the SIJHL for future considerations. The
20 year old Parksville, BC native posted a 2.42 GAA and a .909 SV% with a record of 28-3-0
and 4 shutouts through 32 games last season.
Leaving the Den is 2005 born Adam Pinsent, who has been traded to the Notre-Dame Hounds
of the SJHL for future considerations. Adam spent one season with the Grizzlys and appeared
in 14 games, notching one goal in his time in the Black and Gold. The Grizzlys wish Adam the
best of luck in the upcoming season and thank Adam and his family for being a part of the
Grizzlys family.
And 2005 born Devun Olfert has been traded to Dauphin Kings of the MJHL for futures. Devun
spent one season with the Grizzlys and appeared in 37 games where he gathered 5 points (2G,
3A). The Grizzlys wish Devun the best of luck in the upcoming season and would like to thank
Devun and his family for being a part of the Grizzlys family.
The Grizzlys open up training camp Friday August 23.
The Black/Gold game is set for Sunday August 25 at 5pm.
The first pre-season home game is Wednesday August 28 against the expansion Devon
Xtreme.
The regular season kicks off Friday September 13 when the Grizzlys host the Drumheller
Dragons in the first game of a home and home series.
