The Olds Grizzlys are proud to announce the LOI signing of Parker Scherr. Parker is a 2004 born defensemen from Edmonton , AB who stands at 6’2″ and weights 175 pounds who plays this season with OHA Edmonton U18 Prep Team.
In just 5 games this season, Parker had 2 goals, 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes.
Parker is expected to play in all situations including the power play and kill penalties. The smooth skating Scherr is a defensemen who prides himself on solid defensive play and moves the puck up quickly and jumps into the rush when possible.
Attending Grizzlys prospects and main camp in August (2020), Parker got the attention of Head Coach Scott Atkinson and the Grizzlys Staff with his play that earned him staying with the Grizzlys in September until it was decided it was best for his development to go back to OHA Edmonton.
The Olds Grizzlys welcome Parker and the Scherr family to the Grizzlys family and we are excited that Parker will be playing his junior hockey in the Gold & Black in Olds.
