The Olds Grizzlys have traded 20 year old Damien Kulynych to the OCN Blizzard for future considerations. Kulynych had been with the Grizzlys for just under a year and was a key part of the teams’ offence.
“We are going in a different direction this year. We are going younger and giving those players more opportunity in specialty team situations and Damo was not being used as effectively as we would have liked.” Stated Grizzlys Head Coach Brett Hopfe
The Olds Grizzlys have also added 96 born forward Ty Mappin who was previously with the Everett Silvertips of the WHL. The Silvertips thought highly of Mappin, spending a first round draft pick on a player known for his offensive upside.
Hopfe is looking forward to his newest addition, “We are obviously very excited to add a player of Ty’s ability. He fits in with what we are doing here and it will be very exciting for our fans to have an opportunity to watch him play and develop.”
