The Olds Grizzlys are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Keil Schmalz from CIHA U18 Prep in the CSSHL for the 2024/25 AJHL season.
Keil comes to the Black and Gold, joining his previous head coach Peter Schaefer, who had this to say about him. “Keil is a gritty defenseman that plays physically, brings strong skating ability and is consistent, day in and day out.” He also says “He (Keil) is a player that leads by example, who will also bring some offensive ability that he will continue to develop as well as a work ethic that is second to none.”
The Grizzlys are proud that Keil has chosen Olds to continue his journey and would like to welcome him and his family to the Black and Gold.
