Olds Grizzlys announce Captain and alternates for 2019-20

Head Coach/GM Joe Murphy announced the captain and alternates for the 2019-20 season.

This season’s captain is Hunter Floris.  Hunter is a 19 year old forward from Vanderhoof, BC.  He was acquired in a trade last year with Bonnyville and immediately became a solid contributor to the organization both on and off the ice.  Hunter was the rookie of the year for the Grizzlys in 2018-19.

The alternates are Nolan Spadafore, a 20 year old defenceman from Cochrane, AB. Nolan was a late addition last year from a trade with Grande Prairie.  Nolan instantly gave us stability on defence and has picked up where he left off last year by anchoring the power play.

Josh McNeil, a 19 year old forward from Sylvan Lake, AB. Josh was a highly sought after center from the Red Deer Chiefs that is in his second year of the AJHL.  He was the captain of the Chiefs in his last season and we are very happy that Josh continues to develop his hockey talents with the Grizzlys.  Josh took home the most dedicated player award last year for the Grizzlys.

Andrew Hunt, a 19 year old defenceman from Vancouver, BC. Andrew is a graduate of the Burnaby Winter Club that was acquired from Lloydminster just before main camp.  Andrew is a smooth skating, smart, hardworking defender that brings high end skill to our defence core.  Andrew was the CSSHL humanitarian of the year for the 2017-18 season.

The grizzlys are very pleased and excited to have such fine hockey players and outstanding community representitives leading our organization.
