Upcoming Game Previews

This weekend, the Grizzlys are in for a double header with the Drumheller Dragons, who they are just coming off of an overtime win this past weekend at the Olds Sportsplex. Friday night, the Grizzlys have home ice, while the next night, the boys in Black & Gold make the trip down to the Memorial Arena in Drumheller.

November 21 & 22 Vs. Drumheller Dragons: Coming off a 5-4 overtime win against the Dragons at home, the Grizzlys look to build off of this success with an immediate series against their southern competitor. In the win, the Grizzlys had 3 rookies stand out most. Reigning rookie of the week Ryder Riedel had his best game of the season with 2 assists along with the game-winning goal in overtime, while rookies Jordin St. Louis and Koray Bozkaya had 2 points each in impressive showings for the young fellas. The Drumheller players with the biggest performances to watch out for were Kaiden Schaupmeyer, Rowan McDonald and Jackson Degraves. Shaupmeyer was a force and a thorn in the side of the Grizz this past game. The defender played a pesky game laying big hits and even dropped the gloves for a center ice tilt with captain Hunter Motley, after putting the puck in the Grizzlys net for what was the go ahead goal. Degraves and McDonald both had 2 point performances as both teams rookies told hold of the game. The wildcard of the game will be Bradley Gallo. Gallo started off the season hot, and has cooled down since, but the reigning AJHL leading goal scorer will be looking to bounce back against the Grizzlys as they look to make it two successful weekends in a row against the Drumheller Dragons.
