The Olds Grizzlys ended had successful back-to-back games last weekend. The team faced the Drumheller Dragons for Minor Hockey Appreciation night on Friday, November 10. The game was physical and fiercely fought with the Grizzlys pulling through and securing the win. 5:3 was the final score in a game which saw the home team score 3 goals on the powerplay.
The following night, the Grizz hosted the division-leading Okotoks Oilers. The game started off with a pre-game ceremony in honour of remembrance day. In this game, the Grizzlys fell back 2:0 quickly. The team recouped and worked together to force overtime. The Grizz had to go into shootout, where they were able to secure the 3:2 victory.
The Grizzlys will now play three games on the road before heading back home to face the Bonnyville Pontiacs on Wednesday, November 22.
