Olds, AB – The Olds Grizzlys are proud to welcome Cody Leeming as an Assistant Coach for the 2026–27 season.
Originally from Harrow, Ontario, Cody has spent the last three years coaching in Leduc, spending two years with the U18 AAA program and one year with the U17 AAA team. During that time, Cody also served as a Skills and Assistant Coach with the MacEwan University Griffins Women’s Hockey program and as an On-Ice Instructor with Vimy Ridge Hockey Academy in Edmonton. In 2026, he was selected as a Head Coach for the Alberta Cup after serving as an Assistant Coach in 2024, where they captured the tournament championship.
Cody moved to Alberta five years ago where he served as Head Coach of the Olds U18 AA team while also working as an Assistant Coach with the Olds College Broncos. Prior to moving west, he coached in Ontario as an Assistant Coach with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires U18 AAA program and in supporting roles with the Essex 73’s and LaSalle Vipers junior organizations.
Cody played AAA hockey with the Sun County Panthers before advancing to junior hockey, splitting time between the Amherstburg Admirals and the Essex 73’s. During his time in Essex, his teams won league championships and advanced to the OHA Final Four in both 2016 and 2017.
Known for his passion for player development, attention to detail, and commitment to building a positive team culture, Cody is excited to continue helping athletes grow both on and off the ice. The Grizzlys are excited to have Cody join our coaching staff and help drive the next chapter of Grizzly Hockey.
