General Manager/President | Moe Jamal

Moe Jamal starts his first season as General Manager and President of the Olds Grizzlys after successfully turning the Calgary International Hockey Academy around as the GM of the CSSHL hockey academy. The Calgary businessman purchased the CIHA academy along with former NHL Stanley Cup Champion, Jay Beagle, while it was in a steady decline before turning the academy around into one of the top hockey programs in the CSSHL, while starting to expand into new programs and is looking to do the same with the Olds Grizzlys. After years of consistently being at the bottom of the AJHL, Jamal and Beagle were approached about purchasing the Grizzlys and were enthused about turning around another franchise. The newest Grizzlys GM looks to turn Olds into a championship-level team within the next three years.

Head Coach | Tyson Soloski

Tyson Soloski moves into the Head Coach position with the Olds Grizzlys after a successful stint with the Calgary International Hockey Academy of the CSSHL. He most recently led CIHA’s U18 Prep team to a finals appearance at the prestigious Circle K Classic during the 2024–25 season. The year prior, he guided CIHA’s U17 Prep team to a CSSHL U17 championship. Before joining CIHA, Soloski served as Head Coach of the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA, where he led the team to a league championship in 2022–23 and was named AEHL Coach of the Year. He began his coaching career with the AC Avalanche U16AAA and has spent nearly a decade developing talent at the U15 and U18 levels in Alberta. Soloski grew up in Cochrane, Alberta and played junior hockey as a forward with the Cochrane Generals in the HJHL from 2010 to 2014. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and quickly established himself as one of Alberta’s rising young coaches. The newest Grizzlys head coach now takes on his first Junior A head coaching role as part of a new era in Olds under fresh ownership.

Assistant Coach | Dylan Olsen

Dylan Olsen moves into his first Junior hockey coaching role with the Olds Grizzlys team following a decade-long professional playing career that included time in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and overseas. He most recently served as an assistant coach with the Calgary International Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep team during the 2024–25 season, competing in the CSSHL. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Airdrie Stars U18 Prep team in the Hockey Super League during the 2022–23 season. Before moving into coaching, Olsen was selected 28th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2009 NHL Draft. He played NCAA hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and went on to appear in 124 NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers. His professional career also included stops in the AHL, ECHL, and European leagues before retiring in 2022. Olsen played junior hockey with the Camrose Kodiaks in the AJHL, where he helped the team win the 2008 Doyle Cup. Since transitioning to coaching, he has brought his high-level experience to developing young talent across Alberta, now bringing that experience to Olds.

Assistant Coach | Mitch Visser

Mitch Visser returns as an Assistant Coach with the Olds Grizzlys after joining the team’s bench staff during the 2024–25 season. He returns to the organization where he previously played bringing a strong connection to the team and community. Prior to his time coaching in Olds, Visser had a 5 year junior career with the Olds Grizzlys and Mountain View Colts in the HJHL. Originally from Didsbury, Alberta, Visser played over 60 games with the Grizzlys during his junior A career and is widely regarded as a homegrown product of the organization. Over five seasons with the Flames U18 AAA team, Marcoux earned a strong reputation for developing top-tier goaltending talent at the elite level in Alberta. He began his coaching career shortly after wrapping up a three-year junior playing career in the BCHL and AJHL. As a goaltender, Marcoux played with the Canmore Eagles, Cowichan Valley Capitals, and Trail Smoke Eaters between 2014 and 2019, gaining valuable experience across Western Canada’s top junior leagues. Director of Scouting/Asst GM – Matt Hnatiuk

Matt Hnatiuk began his tenure with the Grizzlys in 2022, joining the organization as a scout. His deep understanding of the game and a keen eye for emerging talent quickly set him apart, and within a year, he was promoted to the role of Director of Scouting in 2023. In this capacity, Matt leads the team’s scouting efforts, working to identify and recruit exceptional players who possess the skill, determination, and character to succeed at the highest levels of hockey. With a strong passion for player development, Matt is dedicated not only to advancing the athletic careers of those he works with but also to supporting their educational and personal growth. He believes in fostering well-rounded athletes who excel both on and off the ice, preparing them for success in all aspects of life. Matt’s leadership and commitment to the Grizzlys’ scouting program continue to play a pivotal role in building a strong, competitive team for years to come.

Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager – Alyssa (Ally) Bachorski, CAT(C), BAET, HBK, G. Dip. Kin.

Ally discovered her passion for understanding the human body at just 16, during a high school co-op at a physiotherapy clinic. A year later, an Exercise Science project—sparked by a friend’s ACL tear—cemented her path in athletic therapy.

She earned her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology (2015) and Graduate Diploma in Professional Kinesiology (2016) from Lakehead University, where she coordinated the Sports Medicine & Concussion Clinic alongside Dr. Dave McKee and Joanna Sanchez, CAT(C). There, she gained research and practical experience in concussion management and injury rehab across sports and populations ranging from wrestling, curling, and Nordic skiing to baseball with the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League.

In 2017, Ally moved to Victoria, BC, completing her Bachelor of Athletic & Exercise Therapy at Camosun College (2022) before certifying as an Athletic Therapist. She worked with the Belmont Bulldogs Varsity & Junior Varsity Football teams, youth football, rugby, CSSHL hockey, and the Westshore Rebels (CJFL). Her time on Vancouver Island ended on a high note—helping the Belmont Boys Senior Rugby VII’s capture both the Island and BC Provincial Championships in 2025.

Dedicated to peak performance and long-term wellness, Ally combines manual therapy, education, and exercise in a collaborative, holistic way—whether returning an athlete to the ice or a gardener to the soil.

Off the field, you’ll find her at home with her young daughter, crocheting blankets, or quietly recharging for the next big game.
