The Grizzlys lose by a goal in Canmore

Olds was in Canmore for the 2nd time in 12 days on Saturday. The familiar opponents played some tight checking hockey for the first 2 and half periods, with all of the goals coming in the last 5 minutes of play. The Grizz came up one goal short losing to the Eagles 2-1. Matt Hanger scored on the powerplay, with assist going to Christopher Gerrie and Kyle Star. Ethan Jemieff made 32 saves in net, as Olds outshot Canmore 35-34.

The Grizz are back on home Tuesday versus South Division rivals the Calgary Mustangs. The fun starts at 7:30. Come cheer hard again on Saturday and help lift the boys to a win against the number 1 ranked Junior A team in Canada. Fort McMurray will be at the Olds Sportsplex on October 12th at 7:30.
