The Olds Grizzlys would like to announce the appointment of Mr. Jason Petrie as the new Director of Scouting for the Olds Grizzlys Hockey Club.
Jason ( From Lacombe, AB) joins the Grizzlys after many years working as the Alberta scout for the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL. Jason will be in charge of all aspects of the Olds Grizzlys scouting department while reporting directly to the Vice-President – Hockey Operations & the team’s General Manager.
“During the process, it became clear that Jason processed the Leadership, Communication and Organizational skills that the Olds Grizzlys scouting department needed moving forward to be successful in the scouting and recuiting of future Grizzlys” said Trent Wilhauk, Vice-President – Hockey Operations.
“We are very excited to add Jason to the team. It was important for us to fortify our scouting program and Jason is now the backbone behind that. He is a hockey man, and has been actively involved in scouting for over a decade. We are fortunate to add a member with this pedigree and are excited to keep stockpiling this organization with junior caliber talent.” said Joe Murphy, Grizzlys General Manager

The Grizzlys organization would also like to thank Keith Lightbown for all his hard work & dedication to the role of Head Scout. Keith will continue to stay in the organization working in a scouting capacity moving forward
